New M+ chief meets arts and cultural professionals

exhibitionPreparatory work for M+, a new and forward-looking cultural institution focusing on 20th- and 21st-century visual culture, is ramping up.

M+ Executive Director Lars Nittve, who assumed office in January, has been meeting with arts and culture professionals, including academics as well as visual arts experts. They have had in-depth discussions on a wide range of topics including Hong Kong’s visual culture, academic research and audience-building, all of which will contribute to the development strategy of M+.

M+ is scheduled to open after 2016. Prior to that, the Authority will reach out to the community by organising activities in different parts of Hong Kong to promote the concept of M+ and visual arts.
